Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Barry University women's volleyball team came alive after a competitive weekend and blanked the Fighting Knights of Lynn University, 3-0 for their second straight Sunshine State Conference victory.
From the start of the match, the Buccaneers were in control winning all three games 30-22, 30-17, 30-19. The Buccaneers also had a .262 hitting percentage for the match to Lynn's .095.
Karla Bersano (So., Sao Paulo, Brazil) led the Buccaneer charge with 12 kills, a .310 hitting percentage and a team high 23 defensive digs while
Rochelle Magill (Jr., Florence, Ariz.) followed with 11 kills and 14 digs.
Marina de Castro led the Fighting Knight efforts with a team high 10 kills and 20 digs.
The Buccaneers improved to 13-2 and 4-1 in Sunshine State Conference play while the Fighting Knights fell to 8-4 and 1-4 in the SSC.
The Buccaneers will have nine days of much needed rest before returning to action on October 12th at the Lady Moc Invitational in Lakeland, Florida.
