Isabel Rapisarda Calvo was added to the women's tennis team as a student assistant coach in 2017-18.
Rapisarda Calvo is responsible for on-court coaching and player development. She has taught lessons, and helped with clinics.
In her first year as a student coach, Rapisarda Calvo was part of a team that won the NCAA Division II national title, following a 28-0 season. The Buccaneers also won the South Region, Sunshine State Conference Tournament and SSC regular season titles.
In 2017, Rapisarda Calvo played for the Buccaneers, helping Barry win the national championship. She went 20-3 in singles and 24-4 in doubles. She was 5-0 at No. 3 singles and 6-0 at No. 4. She had a 19-2 record at No. 2 doubles.
Rapisarda Calvo secured a huge point at No. 4 singles in Barry's 5-4 win over No. 1 BYU-Hawai'i in the NCAA quarterfinals. She also won her No. 3 doubles match in the national championship to help the Bucs win the title.
She is pursuing her degree from Barry.
