Frank Gonzalez captured his first-ever SSC Pitcher of the Week award following his efforts in Barry's 8-1 victory against the University of Montevallo. The freshman started the first game of the three-game set, holding the Falcons to one hit over seven innings. Gonzalez struck out six batters on 78 pitches allowing only one batter to reach base safely. The Miramar, Florida product improved his record to 5-1 on the season with the win and lowered his earned run average to 3.58.
