Imanol Davila-Morales

Davila-Morales joins the men's volleyball program in the Fall of 2025. The Puerto Rico-native will lead the Buccaneers in their second year as a program.

Davila-Morales comes to Barry after a few different pit stops at Oakland City University, and Warner University and most recently McKendree University.

In 2024-25, he helped lead McKendree to a 20-8 season, going 13-3 in the MIVA conference, which was highlighted by six ranked wins over Lewis, Loyola-Chicago, Ohio State, and Ball State. The Bearcats spent a majority of the season in the AVCA Top-20, with their highest ranking at 10th.

Outside of the collegiate scope, Davila-Morales currently serves as a volunteer assistant for the Gigantes De Carolina, a professional men's volleyball team in Puerto Rico that competes in the Superior League. He also is an assistant coach for the 19U team for the Puerto Rican Federation of Volleyball.

On the club side, Davila-Morales is a certified coach at Gold Medal Squared, a USA Volleyball National Program. He is the founder and director of Rally On Volley On, an organization that seeks to grow the game of men's volleyball at all levels within the mid-south region of America and Puerto Rico. Under the Rally On Volley On umbrella is the Collegiate Club Volleyball League (CCVL), the Mid-South Volleyball Region, and La Isla Invitational. The CCVL unites all Florida club teams that are not NCAA-sponsored to form a league for themselves. The Mid-South Volleyball Region looks to grow the men's game at the youth and adult level, hosting various leagues and tournaments across eight states and in PR. While La Isla Invitational brings collegiate schools to Puerto Rico to compete at a high level. As a whole, the organization does more than just volleyball, organizing fundraisers like food and clothing drives, and well a Toys For Tots drive to give back to the community.

In addition to his coaching career, Davila-Morales played his collegiate career at Warner. In his final two seasons, the Royal libero turned setter earned AAC First Team, NCCAA First Team, led the team to an AAC Regular Season Championship and Runner-up in the tournament, and finished fifth in the NCCAA National Tournament. In high school, he was a part of the USA Volleyball National Pipeline a two-time AAU National Champion and made three state tournament appearances, finishing runner-up once.

"I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity and excited for what is to come. The vision of what Barry Men's Volleyball will be for the volleyball community is grand, the support from the institution to reach this vision has been wonderful and the players are already bought into this new culture and vision," said Davila-Morales. "I would like to thank my mentors and my family for giving me the experiences and mileage to be more than prepared for what is to come, I am eternally grateful for their love, patience, and support. The position means a lot to me and to those back in Puerto Rico as well, I am the second lead coach in the Men's Volleyball NCAA DI/DII history and the only active lead coach that is Puerto Rican. It's simply an honor to be here."

Imanol is a graduate from Warner where he earned a bachelor's degree in English and Communication and is currently in the process of completing his masters.

Prior to his time at Warner, Davila-Morales received his high school diploma from Celebration High School
