Eva Patyi

Eva Patyi is in her first season as graduate assistant coach in 2019-20 after a highly successful rowing career with the Buccaneers. She will lead the novice program and take charge of on-campus recruiting while assisting with varsity training.

Patyi rowed for Barry from 2014-18 and was a member of both the 2015 and 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship winning squads in the varsity four. She was a three-time Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete from 2016-18 and an All-Sunshine State Conference selection in 2018.

In Europe, Patyi's successes include gold medals in the 8+ at the 2012 Serbian National Championship in Belgrade and in the lightweight 1x at the 2013 Miholjska International Regatta in Osijek, Croatia. She took a fifth-place finish in the lightweight 1x at the 2015 Bled International Regatta in Slovenia while finishing third (lightweight 4x) and fourth (4-) at the 2016 Hungarian National Championship in Szeged.

A native of Palic, Serbia, Patyi earned her B.A. in art history & graphic design from Barry in 2018 and is working toward an MBA in marketing. She is the daughter of Tibor Patyi and Anna Baka, and has two siblings, Gabor and Emma.
