Colin Regan

Colin Regan was announced as the head rowing coach in October of 2024. He became the ninth head coach in program history.

Regan was named the Sunshine State Conference co-Coach of the Year in his first season with the Bucs. Sophia Jauquet earned All-SSC honors for the second straight year, while Candela Cappa was named to the novice team. Six Bucs earned CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors, including Jauquet, Kaitlyn Dutkin (for the fourth straight year), Isabella Goitiz, Cate Rochow, Grace Steffan and Josie Wiles. 

Regan came to Miami Shores after a short stint at Southern Methodist University in 2023. At SMU, Regan was in charge of selecting the Varsity 4+ and supporting technical training for the 1V8 and 2V8. In just his first season, the Mustangs finished as American Athletic Conference champions and set a school record for highest finish at the NCAA National Championships, coming in ninth place.

Prior to SMU, Regan served as an assistant coach at the University of Miami from 2017 to 2022. There he developed and implemented the full team training plan, established full team technical emphasis, produced daily practice plans, and daily coaching and selection of 1v/2v 8's.

Regan is a 2006 graduate from the University of Connecticut where he earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology.
