Leo Vivas

Leo Vivas was named a volunteer assistant coach at Barry in August 2014.

In 2015, he lent his assistance on a Buccaneers team that went 26-0 to win the NCAA Championship.

Vivas began giving personal instruction and lessons with SVTennis in Miami in July 2014. He also teaches camps and clinics with SVTennis.

As a player, Vivas helped Barry win the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship. His comeback No. 5 singles win over Armstrong Atlantic's Pedro Scocuglia helped the Buccaneers cap a 29-0 season -- the first undefeated season for any sport at Barry.

Vivas was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles All-American as a sophomore in 2012. He earned Second-Team All-Sunshine State Conference doubles honors as a senior, and was an honorable mention all-conference pick as a junior.

He finished his career with a 50-11 singles record, becoming the 15th player in school history to record 50 singles victories. Vivas went 63-15 in doubles, which ranks ninth all-time at the school. His .808 career doubles winning percentage is fourth all-time.

In 2012, Vivas went 19-5 in singles, tying him for ninth among the school's single-season wins leaders. He was 16-1 in 2013 for a .941 win percentage, which ranks sixth among Barry season leaders. His 23 doubles wins in 2013 fell two shy of the school season record. He began his career at Division I Central Florida before transferring to Barry.

Vivas earned his bachelor's in finace from Barry in 2014.
