PRIOR TO BARRY: Graduated from Jose Maria Espana High ...  Signed free agent contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization out of his native Venezuela ... Played two seasons in the rookie Dominican Summer League ... Batted .312 with three homers, seven doubles and 34 RBI in 283 at-bats ... Walked 33 times for a .582 on-base percentage ... Scored 30 runs.
