Niclas Weiland

Former Buccaneer All-American Niclas Weiland joined the men's golf staff as a volunteer assistant in the spring of 2024.

Weiland, who played for coach Jimmy Stobs from 2015-2019, helped lead the Bucs to 12 tournament wins, including the 2017 and 2019 Sunshine State Conference championships. A four-time All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America, he was the individual medalist in four tournaments, including the 2019 SSC Championship. He is one of only three golfers in program history to earn four All-America awards during his career.

Since graduating, he has been a member of the PGA of Sweden, playing in tournaments in a number of countries, including Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, Spain, and Sweden. Prior to the pandemic year, he played several events on the MENA Tour in Egypt, Jordan, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, winning The Ras Al Khaimah Open in October of 2019.

In 2021 and 2023, he qualified for a total of three events on the European Challenge Tour, with a best finish of tied for 13th at the 2023 Dormy Open. In 2022 earned membership on PGA Tour Canada.

While pursuing his playing career, he also caddied during events on the DP World Tour in Denmark, England, Scotland, and United Arab Emirates, as well DP World Tour Qualifying School, European Challenge Tour, Nordic Golf League and other tournaments.

Weiland graduated magna cum laude from Barry with a business degree in finance in 2019.
