Mikayla Davis, who joined the department as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2024, was promoted to assistant strength & conditioning coach at Barry University in the fall of 2026, after earning a dual master’s degree in sports psychology and business.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Michigan State University and has experience as a strength & speed coach at Athletic Culture, as well as with Spellman Performance, where she contributed to NFL combines and off-season training programs. Davis is proficient in utilizing biomechanics devices, GPS, force plates, and other performance tools. Her hands-on experience extends to working in physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of recovery and rehabilitation. This combined expertise in performance and recovery allows her to effectively support athletes in reaching their full potential, both physically and mentally, at Barry University.
