Steven Soriano

Steven Soriano joined the volleyball staff in the summer of 2022 as a volunteer assistant, after serving at the head student manager at NCAA Division I Syracuse for four years under current Buccaneer head coach Leonid Yelin. In the fall of 2023, he was promoted to assistant coach for beach volleyball, as well as maintaining his duties with the indoor team.

With the Orange, Soriano assisted the coaching staff with setting up and tearing down practice, managing equipment, participated in drills and individual workouts. Part of the staff that led the Orange to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and reached a AVCA ranking fo fifth in the nation.

He also served as the head coach of the men's club program for one season, as well as assistant director at Elite Sports Camps.

From 2016-2018, he worked as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant at Baldwin School of Puerto Rico, helping lead the varsity to the semifinals of the All-Island tournament.

He assisted with the Puerto Rican U-23 National Team camp in June of 2021 and holds a certification from the Puerto Rican Volleyball Federation.

He graduated from Syracuse with a bachelor of arts in economics in May of 2022.
