Born and raised in Miami, Nalepa attended Chaminade-Madonna High school in Hollywood, Fla., where he pitched for three years of varsity baseball. After playing high school baseball, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Miami. In his second year with the Hurricanes, Nalepa was a part of the school’s first ACC Championship team. In that same year, the Hurricanes advanced to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
After three years at UM, he transferred to Nova Southeastern University, where he finished his collegiate career and graduated.
After a short year off, he signed a professional contract to play for the Train Robbers of Las Vegas, New Mexico, in the PECOS Independent Baseball League.
Since hanging his cleats up for a coach’s hat, Nalepa began coaching in 2012 in Miami-Dade County. He served as head baseball coach for the City of Hialeah Educational Academy in Hialeah, Fla. Nalepa served at the All-Star Warehouse as the pitching coordinator, along with throwing development, and training. His goal as an instructor is to have every player prepared for their next challenge in the game of baseball.
