DAVIE, Fla. -- The Barry Men's Basketball season came to an end on Thursday evening at Rick Case Arena in the Sunshine State Conference Semifinals. The Buccaneers fell to top-seeded Nova Southeastern.

It was a back and forth battle through the first seven minutes of the game where Marko Sarenac hit a three to give the Bucs a 14-13 lead. Nova Southeastern started to stray away with an 8-0 run. Breno Silva was fouled twice behind the line that was able to give the Bucs a six-points from the charity stripe. Deon Perry drained a three that made it a three-point game with 7:12 on the clock. 2H – The Buccaneers were able to cut it down to a five-point lead within the first two and half minutes of play. The closest it came to was nine points with 6:52 remaining. A 15-1 run put the game away making it a 23-point lead with 2:13 remaining. The defense was able to hold NSU to just 44 points and just 44 field goal percentage in the half. NOTEWORTHY:
- Marko Sarenac collected his 18th double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
- Sarenac's fourth rebound of the game set the new program record for most in a season. The new record is 328.
- Deon Perry had 16 points.
- Malik Stanley contributed 14 points off the bench.
- Stanley finishes his Buccaneer career with 968 points, moving into 14th all-time and a free throw percentage of .893 to top the leader board.
- The Buccaneers defense held NSU under their season average in points.
- The bench points favored Barry 34-16.
