MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 9-7 to the #25 Eckerd Tritons in the opener of their Sunshine State Conference baseball series at Feinbloom Field on Friday night.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Grady Bivens (7-0) survived a rocky start, in which he gave up four earned runs in 5.1 innings. He allowed five hits and four walks, while striking out six.
- Rocco Calise worked the final 3.2 innings to earn his second save. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks.
- Ensell took the loss for the Bucs, allowing eight runs on eight hits and two walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.
- Smith Opie and Joseph each had two hits for the Bucs, while Hungler drove in three.
- Hodierne was one of four Tritons with two hits and he drove in three.
