WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers broke out the brooms to sweep the Rollins Tars 73-63 on the road in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action at Warden Arena on Wednesday.

- 3Q - The Bucs held on to an 11-point lead, 41-30 after a Jazz Cook layup with 8:15 to play in the third. The Tars made their biggest move of the game, scoring seven straight, capped by a three-point play by Faith Newton with 6:38 remaining. - 4Q - The teams mostly traded baskets to start the fourth quarter, but with the Bucs up 66-56 with 5:33 left, the Tars made one final run, scoring five straight to trim the lead in half on a three-point play from Elaina Kline-Ruminski on the fast break with 4:25 to play. But a Parker triple and layups by Paola Pareja Xargayo and Akvile Babraityte made the lead 12 points again, before Kline-Ruminski hit the last bucket. | Barry 73, Rollins 63
NOTEWORTHY:
- Parker matched her season-high with a game-hit 23 points, including 7-of-12 from behind thee arc. She also added seven rebounds and six assists.
- Cook had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Pareja Xargayo added 13 points.
- Kline-Ruminski led Rollins with 21 points and seven rebounds.
- Newton added 12 points and Claire Erickson had 11.
- Parker, with seven three-pointers, out-shot the Tars from long-range, as they hit just 6-of-23. Her seven triple are tied for third all-time for the Bucs and the most since Chiara Fusari had seven at Tampa on Nov. 20, 2022.
- The Bucs have now won four straight and eight of the last 10 from the Tars.
