Summary

  • Set One – The Buccaneers were able to grab a three-point cushion at 13-10 with a block by Frankie Good that forced a Triton timeout. Valeriya Kozlova did not let that affect her service game delivering an ace immediately after. Two more solo blocks from Ivana Zujovic and Veronika Eremeeva helped keep momentum on the Buccaneers side. The defense was key to the set win forcing 11 attacking errs and a .111 hitting percentage for the Tritons. | Barry 25, Eckerd 19
  • Set Two – Barry had to work from behind in the set after trailing 11-5. Two three-point runs kept them within striking distance, but the big spark would come late. The Bucs went on a 6-0 run to close out the set and take the 2-0 match lead. A solo block from Kozlova and then the duo of Good and Eremeeva contributed to the wall built at the net in the end. Kozlova added five kills and Eremeeva four while the team swung .344. | Barry 25, Eckerd 22
  • Set Three – The offense struggled in the third set being held a season set low of just six kills, while hitting negative on nine attacking errors. Eckerd fought to stay alive for another set. | Eckerd 25, Barry 16
  • Set Four – Varvara Osychenko, Eremeeva, Kozlova, and Good all clicked on the offensive end to close out the match. A 4-1 run got things going quickly as Osychenko added a service ace. A 7-0 run put the set away early. Good and Eremeeva took over through the rally. Good had two kills and a block with Eremeeva having two solo blocks. Barry had 15 kills on a .414 hitting percentage and four solo blocks. Eckerd hit negative .121 on just five kills and nine errors. | Barry 25, Eckerd 13
