ORLANDO, Fla- Barry University men's golfer Eduardo Matarazzo earned the Sunshine State Conference weekly honor of golfer of the week for his performance this past week at the Citrus Invitational. The freshman brought home the award presented by Pollo Campreo for the week of Oct.27-Nov.2 for his standout performance at the Citrus Invitational, where he placed first. 

Matarazzo had his lowest finish of the year at the Citrus Invitational with 212 shots; his two lowest rounds of the year were the second and third rounds, where he finished both rounds with 65 shots. He also had his highest career finish in first place and his lowest under-par finish, ending the tournament shooting 13-under. Matarazzo was the only Buc to finish under par and had the lowest second and third rounds overall. The Brazilians best round came in the third round, where he had eight birdies and finished 7-under par. The freshman finished fourth in par 4s with 7-under and tied for second in par 5s, going 6-under. He finished first in total birdies and finished the tournament with an impressive 32 pars and 18 birdies. 

The Bucs have completed their fall season and will start off their spring season in February, where they will attend the Matlock Classic on Feb.9 through Feb. 10 in Lakeland, Fla., at the Lone Palm Country Club.
