MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Head coach DJ Price welcomes 14 transfers to the baseball roster for the 2026 season. The Buccaneers went 24-26, 12-18 in the Sunshine State Conference a year ago.
“This off season we knew we were losing a ton of experience across the board,” Price said. "We tackled the opportunity to start fresh, focusing on the type of players who complement our athleticism and speed.
"I feel we develop players well, so getting high character players was a priority.
"The last few years we have been short left-handed pitching so we brought in several that can help us right away.
"We have a good mixture of strength in the middle of our lineup that meshes well with our ability to cause havoc on the bases.
“We brought in good youth and solid experience. I feel we have gotten a lot closer to carving our Barry U Baseball identity. This new crop of players is gritty, tough and will compete everyday. I’m excited for the 2026 season and the future of the program.”
The balanced class features five pitchers, three outfielders, two infielders, two catchers and a pair of two-way players who are expected to help out both on the mound and in the field.
