DAYTONA BEACH, Fla - With a tied score and less than three seconds remaining of Thursday evening's Sunshine State Conference Semifinal contest, the seventh-seeded Barry University men's basketball team got the ball in the hands of 
Nick Anderson who scored the go-ahead basket in a 73-71 triumph over third-seeded Embry-Riddle.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- 1H | After trading the opening 14 points of the contest without either side orchestrating a run of consecutive baskets, Embry-Riddle scored eight-straight to take a 14-8 lead with 12:57 left in the opening half. The host pushed their lead to double-digits at 20-10 before a 15-5 spree for Barry knotted the score at 25-all with 7:42 remaining in the half. Barry held ERAU without a run of back-to-back baskets over the ensuing six minutes before a 4-0 run by the host made it 39-34 with 42 seconds left in the half. Barry ended the half with a triple to hold a 42-34 lead at the break.
- 2H | Embry-Riddle made it a one-possession game behind an 8-2 start to the second half, reclaiming the lead during a 10-0 run that pushed them to a 54-49 advantage with 14:50 remaining in the game. Barry knotted the score at 56-all, using an 8-0 run to pull ahead 64-58 with 6:59 left to play. Embry-Riddle cut the deficit down to two at 67-65, with the two sides trading the ensuing eight points before a pair of Embry-Riddle knotted the score at 71-all with 30 seconds left. Anderson scored the game-winner with less than one second remaining.
NOTEWORTHY:
	- It is the ninth time Barry has advanced to the SSC Championship. Barry advanced to the Championship as the seventh seed during the 2006 Tournament.
- Anderson paced the offense behind 20 points.
- James Montgomery added 19 points with seven rebounds.
- Gabe Hernandez chipped in 11 points.
- Barry converted on 23-60 from the field, 8-22 from three-point territory and 19-28 from the free throw line.
- Embry-Riddle went 22-52 from the field, 6-24 from three-point territory and 21-29 from the free throw line.
- Barry committed 11 turnovers, resulting in 18 points for the hosts. Embry-Riddle committed nine turnovers, leading to 12 points for Barry.
- Embry-Riddle held a 38-32 advantage in rebounds.
- Barry recorded six steals with two blocks while Embry-Riddle tallied seven steals and six blocks.
