MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers crushed the Fort Lauderdale Eagles 105-40 on Cesar Odio Court on Monday night in the first meeting between the teams.

SUMMARY:
- 1Q - The first quarter started out close and the Eagles actually led 7-4 after a three-pointer by Nina Solomon with 7:34 remaining in the period. But the Bucs closed the period on a 24-4 run, led by 11 points from Audrey Jennings and the rout was on. | Barry 28, UTFL 11
- 2Q - The run continued in the second period, as Barry scored the first 10 points of the frame. A layup by Kayla Lindsey with 3:53 left pushed the lead over 30 points, 43-12. Kaliyah Morales gave the Bucs their biggest lead of the half with a pair of back-to-back baskets, hitting a driving layup, then making a steal and breakaway with 0:21 second left to put Barry up by 37. | Barry 54, UTFL 19
- 3Q - The lead continued to balloon in the third period. A three-pointer from Emma Wallhoff with 5:18 to play, made the lead 42, 69-27. Kornelia Ignerska hit a layup with 0:47 to play that made the lead 50, 79-29. | Barry 81, UTFL 33
- 4Q - Although the Bucs went deeply to the bench they continued to build on their lead in the fourth quarter. Zaaliyah Kailahi-Fulu move the margin above 60 points with back to back baskets with less than three minutes to play. After a jumper by Solomon, Britney Mapang and Zoë Adams scored the last two baskets to make the final tally 65 points. | Barry 105, UTFL 40
NOTEWORTHY:
- Jennings topped all players with 20 points in only 19 minutes, hitting 7-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the line. It was her third straight game over 20 points.
- Morales chipped in 12 points and a team-high six assists. Aijah Palmore and Colleen Bucknor each scored 10.
- Kailahi-Fulu led the Bucs with seven rebounds as they owned the glass 56-23 against the much smaller Eagles.
- Maiya Petit led the Eagles with 10 points.
- Barry dominated all of the statistical breakdowns. The Bucs led 33-6 in points off turnovers, 24-3 on the fast break, 70-14 in the paint, 22-8 in second-chance points, off of 19 offensive boards. The bench out-scored the Eagles 56-7.
- The won mark the first time that Barry had broken the century mark in back-to-back games since Jan. 3 and 5, 1990 when they defeated Missouri-St. Louis 104-74 and Marymont 107-82. It was also only the second time in school history to score 100+ points in back-to-back games.
- It was the first time Barry had multiple 100+ points games in a season since 1990-91, when they did it six times.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs open Sunshine State Conference play on the road at Embry-Riddle on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Eagles were picked third in the SSC pre-season poll, while Barry was tagged tied for eighth.
