MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The third-ranked Barry Buccaneers tied the Coker Cobras 3-3 at Buccaneer Field on Saturday night.

SUMMARY:

  • 14:17 - David Polanco made his presence felt early in his first game this season, stealing the ball from the defense at the top of the 18-yard box and scoring into the empty net. | Barry 1, Coker 0
  • 24:26 - Despite dominating possession, the Bucs gave up a penalty kick in the 25th minute as Celestin Blondel was fouled just inside the edge of the box and stepped up to convert the penalty. | Barry 1, Coker 1

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Bucs dominated possession, holding the ball 66 percent of the time, including 65 percent in the attacking end. 
  • Barry out-shot the Cobras 17-6, including 10-5 on goal. They also had nine corners to four for Coker.
  • Jasper Rump had six saves, and was aided by one save by his backs, for Coker.
  • Wulff had one save, and Iker Berruezo swept a ball off the line, for Barry.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs visit the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Monday, Sept. 11 in a non-conference tilt.
