MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (Monday, April 3, 2023) -- The Barry University baseball junior varsity team hosted a doubleheader (two seven-inning games) with Inspiration Academy Lions at Feinbloom Field, and the Buccaneers swept the pair, 7-3 and 8-0. Infielder Freddy Rodriguez batted four for six with a home run and a triple across the two games, scoring four runs and driving in four as well. Daniel Lipka (W, 2-0) pitched the nightcap and it was the first complete-game shutout in the history of the program as he struck out 10 batters in seven innings allowing just three base hits.
