MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Barry women's golfer Daniela Ballesteros was awarded the SSC women's golfer of the week for the week of Oct. 30 - Nov. 5. 

Ballesteros is awarded Golfer of the Week following her win at the NCAA National Division II Championship Fall Preview. The Peruvian shot carded a 6-under score of 138 to tie for first place. The two-round event was held at Panther Lake Golf Course at Orange County National in Orlando, Florida. Ballesteros' first round 67 was the lowest of the day and the second lowest round of the tournament. She finished first in Par 3 (4-under) and Par 5 scoring (4-under) at the event. With the play of Ballesteros, Barry finished third in the team standings at 3-over (579)

The award is the first of Ballesteros career and the first for the Bucs as a team this season. Barry's last women's golfer to win SSC Player of the Week was Alice Götbring in the Spring of the 2021-22 season.
