CHERRY HILL, NJ.-- The top-ranked Barry Buccaneer rowing team finished strong on Saturday, Apr. 9, even though that Varsity 8 boat had a disadvantage in communication. The race started 5 minutes earlier than scheduled, and no one informed the team about the change. The team was allowed to race by themselves and they finished solidly to compete in the finals.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"Very competitive racing today. Both boats were up against primary division 1 teams, however they were still able to make a statement for who we are. Races like this are really good for us to see new speed we might not see elsewhere in the season. Our V4 will advance to the grand final tomorrow morning and our V8 will compete in the third final tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward, we still have speed to find but overall a very successful first day of racing in New Jersey!" -- Barry assistant coach
