MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry's junior varsity baseball team split a pair with the Rollins Tars at Feinbloom Field on Sunday afternoon, dropping the first game 9-3 but rebounding for a 19-3 win in the nightcap.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Johnny Vazquez (3-0) tossed a complete game in the night cap. He allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks and struck out five.
- Mike Capra (0-1) took the loss in game two for the Tars. He lasted just 1.1 innings, allowing 10 runs (seven earned) on five hits and four walks.
- Edgar Rodriguez (0-1) took the loss in the first game, despite not giving up a hit. He allowed six runs (one earned) in two-thirds of an inning.
- Nate Cochran (1-0) worked five innings in game won for the win. He allowed two runs on six hits and a walk and struck out four.
- Meilan was a torrid 5-for-7 with two doubles in the twin bill. He scored three times and drove in two.
- Hagen was 4-for-7 and also scored three times. He added a double and five RBI.
- Santiago, Ward and Perez each had three hits as well.
