SAINT LEO, Fla. -- After a blind draw determined the seeding for the 2021 Sunshine State Conference Tournament, the No. 7-seed Barry Buccaneers took on No. 2-seed Saint Leo at the Bowman Center on Tuesday afternoon during the first round of the tournament. The Bucs came up short 67-58 and are now eliminated from the tournament, thus ending their 2021 season.

SUMMARY:
- Justinas Marcinkevicius flirted with a double-double in the first half, going into the locker room with seven points and nine rebounds. The Saint Leo bench outscored Barry's 16-7 in the first half. Several members of that unit helped SLU end the half on a 11-4 run.
- SLU never let Barry go on a run, keeping a lead close to double-figures for the majority of the second half. Barry outscored the Lions in the paint 24-14 in the second half and 38-26 in the game.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Marcinkevicius pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds and recorded his fifth double-double in seven games this season.
- The Buccaneers struggled from three point land shooting a season low 2-for-23.
