INSIDE THE MATCHUP
Final: FSC 90, Barry 85
Records: Barry (2-2), FSC (3-2)
All-Time Series: Barry trails 22-55
SUMMARY:
- The game was almost a mirror image of game one on Saturday with the Bucs going into the half trailing by three. Florida Southern trailed the Bucs for the majority of the second half and trailed Barry 85-78 with just over five minutes remaining in the game. FSC would go on a 12-0 run to end the game and sweep the two games in The Shores.
- The glaring stat in the second half was the free throw split. Barry went 3-for-4 while the Mocs lived at the line, going 19-for-23.
- Marcelo Perez led the charge in the second half with 16 points, but was the only Buccaneer in double-figures during the second period. Perez finished with a career-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Barry finished with five players in double-figures.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Justinas Marcinkevicius recorded his fourth straight double-double to start the season -- 10 points, 14 rebounds.
- The Buccaneer defense was much better Monday night, holding the Mocs to 4-of-15 shooting from behind-the-arc.
