MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers pounded the ball in the post and came away with a 64-60 Sunshine State Conference women's basketball win over the Embry-Riddle Eagles on a rare Thursday night league tilt on Cesar Odio Court.

- 4Q - The Bucs maintained their lead for most of the quarter. The built their biggest lead, eight points, 55-47, on a three-pointer by Carly Sanders with 5:20 left to play. But the Eagles went on a 13-5 run over the next four minutes to knot the game at 60-60 on a three-point play from Jones with under a minute. Nerea Baena gave the Bucs a 62-60 lead on the next possession, then after a miss by Imani Jones, Sanders grabbed the rebound. NOTEWORTHY:
- Swindells led the Bucs with a double-double, 16 points and 10 rebounds, the first of her career.
- Four other Buccaneers reached double-figures. Baena had 14 points. Sanders came off the bench with 13 points, a season-high for her. Pink ended up with 11 points and Hergot added 10 points and nine rebounds.
- Sarah Jones led the Eagles with 20 points, while Imani Jones chipped in 10 off the bench.
- The Bucs pulled away in the fourth quarter thanks to a 66.7 shooting clip (10-of-15).
