MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – "Playing in the SSC is extremely difficult. You don't get a night off," Buccaneer head coach Steve Hendricks said after the No. 16-ranked Buccaneers bounced back to defeat Nova Southeastern in four sets 25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 25-19. Barry came up short last night on the road in a five set thriller to Lynn at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center to open up Sunshine State Conference play. Barry is now 6-4 and 1-1 in conference play.

- 1st set | The Buccaneers two-headed offensive monster of Kristina Filimonova and Megi Buvinic led the way for Barry with four kills a-piece.
- 2nd set | The Sharks relied early and often on the service game of Ally Ford who recorded four aces in the set and put constant pressure on the Bucs. Ford also contributed five kills and four digs.
- 3rd set | Anastasiia Samokhvalova put her finger prints all over this match in this game, with four blocks. She made life difficult for NSU attackers at the net.
- 4th set | The Bucs used an efficient offense to close out the Sharks. Barry recorded a match-high .353 attack percentage in the final and deciding set.
NOTEWORTHY:.
- Filimonova is loving SSC play, in her second straight impressive performance. The senior from Russia finished the match with 16 kills on 32 attack opportunities and only one error. This showing comes after last night when she set season-highs in kills (19), attack percentage (.410) and blocks (5) against Lynn.
- Samokhvalova recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 kills and 12 blocks.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs continue their SSC schedule at home next weekend. Barry looks remain undefeated in the Health & Sports Center when the 2018 National Champion Tampa Spartans come to town. First serve is set for 7pm.
