ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers rolled to another big Sunshine State Conference road win, 90-77, over the Eckerd Tritons in the McArthur Center on Saturday in men's basketball action.

SUMMARY:
- The Bucs got off to a fast start again, building a 7-2 lead in the first three minutes after a dunk byb Tylan Birts.
- Barry pushed the lead to 14-6 on a triple by Kakar at the 15:26 mark of the first half.
- The Bucs made it a 10-point game on a three-pointer by Evan Walshe with 4:44 to play, and took their biggest lead of the half on another trey by Raivis Scerbinskis with 3:24.
- The Tritons, though, battled back, cutting the lead to five, 40-35, on a late bucket by O'Shane Taylor-Douglas at the break.
- Starting the second half, the Bucs built back their double-figure lead, 49-39, on a jumper by Birts with 17;27.
- Barry extended the lead to as many as 18, going up 70-52 at 9:41 on a three-pointer b y Walshe.
- The Tritons again battled back, out-scoring the Bucs 23-12 over the next eight minutes, cutting the lead to seven 82-75 on a three-pointer by Myron Hagins at 1:07.
- But Barry made 8-of-10 from the line in the last minute to secure the win.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry again featured a balanced attack, with seven players scoring at least eight points, led by Johannes Dolven with 18.
- Birts narrowly missed a triple-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high seven assists.
- David Moya had another strong game with 14 points and Walshe added 12.
- Malcolm Whitlow had a monster game for the Tritons with 27 points on 12-of-15 shooting as he played all 40 minutes.
- Hagins backed him up with 21 points and Travis Bianco chipped in 14.
- Barry shot a robust 12-of-29 (41.4 percent) from three-point range, while the Tritons hit on just 4-of-21.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs are off next week for exams, but return to the court on Dec. 16, hosting the Florida Tech Panthers at 7:30 pm on Cesar Odio Court.
