All-Time Series: Series tied 3-3-1

SUMMARY:

  • 5:20 - The Eagles jumped out in front early. Julia Olsson took control of a missed clearance at the top of the 18-yard box. He shot to the far post was defelcted by Barry keeper Maddie Hart-Pomerantz off the post, but it trickled into the net.
  • 1st half - The Eagles held the advantage for the rest of the half, out-shooting the Bucs 10-6.
  • 2nd half - The Bucs had the tide of the game turn in their favor in the second half, as they out-shot the Eagles 13-9 and had several golden chances that just missed.
  • 61:16 - After a corner kick, Ingrid Lian bounced a header past Eagle keeper Dana Ruchti, but Anita Augustsdottir was at the far post to head it out. Sophia Sharos' followup went just to the left of the post.
  • 77:49 - Ari Cerezuela sent a rocket to the top right of the goal, but Ruchti pushed it up off the crossbar.
  • 85:40 - Ragnheidur Gardarsdottir broke free behind the Bucs' defense and came in one-on-one with Hart-Pomerantz. The Bucs' keeper stopped the first shot, but Marie Seim was there for the follow up and the Eagles took a two-goal lead.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Ruchti, who had 10 saves in the regular-season game, made nine in this one and was aided by Augustsdottir's heroics.
