CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The BarryU women's rowing team recorded an excellent performance at their second regatta of the year, coming in 4th and 20th at the Head of The Charles. The regatta, held in Massachusetts, featured a stacked field with 36 teams including several NCAA Division I schools competing at the event. Despite facing such stiff competition, Barry was the only school to place two boats in the top-20.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"Sadly, we weren't able to perform the best we could because our coxbox died when we warmed up and hearing your coxswain during the race is essential to your performance. I think for that we can be happy with finishing fourth. Big thanks to our coxswain Stella who still screamed her lunges out, even if we couldn't hear her for the most parts. It was an amazing experience to race at the hocr and I hope that motivates us all going forward." -- sophomore Janika Koelblin
"The V4 had some technical issues today and were basically without the services of their coxswain for the entire race, but they felt good about their effort, even if the result wasn't what we wanted. The 2V4 felt great during their race, put in a solid effort, and they looked really smooth when they came by. Overall, this is always a great regatta, and the weather really did us some favors today." -- head coach Nick Johnson
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs place two slots lower than last year, but turned in a time almost three minutes faster.
- The 2nd 4+ was almost two minutes faster than the 2018 V4.
ON THE HORIZON:
