MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's softball team dropped both games in the doubleheader against the Lions of Saint Leo, Saturday afternoon on Buccaneer Softball Field.

- T1: Sarah Pauscher singled up the middle to score Kacie Kelly to take the one-run lead for the Lions. Saint Leo 1 | Barry 0

- T4: The Lions broke the tie when Bailey McKenna hit a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Pauscher to tag up and score from third. Saint Leo 2 | Barry 1
- T7: Saint Leo pulled away from the Bucs with five more runs in the seventh inning, making it a six-run lead. Saint Leo 7 | Barry 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- Christie Falcon (10-8) took the loss for Barry in the first game of the doubleheader after giving up 15 hits and 10 runs in six innings.
- Auria Mounts (14-5) gave up just three hits and one run in six innings, to take the win for Saint Leo in the first game.
- Geneva Santos (6-13) was dealt the loss for the Bucs in game two on the day, after allowing five hits and seven runs through seven innings.\
- Alison Mitts (11-5) grabbed Saint Leo's third win in the series, giving up just four hits in 5.1 innings of work.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Buccaneers hit the road this Tuesday and Wednesday to take on the Sharks of Nova Southeastern in a mid-week conference series.
