MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- From the sounds of it, it couldn't have been any better for senior Fernando Tous and Barry University's men's tennis team.
Not after he and Filip Zupancic won at No. 1 doubles, and the No. 2-ranked Buccaneers zipped past No. 45 Florida Southern, 9-0, on Senior Day. Tous and Zupancic's 8-4 doubles victory gave the Bucs a 3-0 lead, and marked the fifth time Barry has swept pairs play, doing so for the first time in the last five matches.
"We had a good week," Tous said. "It was kind of nice to (end) this weekend with a win. It was a good day, and Senior Day is always special."
That it was for the Bucs, who won their fourth consecutive match and third straight in the Sunshine State Conference.
