MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- If the No. 1-ranked Buccaneers learned one thing, it's that nothing should be taken for granted.
Barry put up an 8-1 win over No. 20 Palm Beach Atlantic Wednesday at Buccaneer Tennis Center. And while the final score may seem lopsided, one look at all the individual matches reveals the true story.
It was no given.
All three doubles matches were decided by two games, and two of the six singles matches required a third set super tiebreaker for the Bucs to pin the Sailfish with a goose egg in singles play.
Carlos Gomez and Vivien Versier both pulled out the tiebreaker wins, and Blake Bayldon and Pierre Montrieul joined the aforementioned two to win two matches apiece against a game PBA team.
