Men's Basketball Drops Second Straight

Mocs stall Bucs chance to regain SSC outright lead

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Barry University's men's basketball team lost its second straight game, falling, 109-100, in overtime at Florida Southern Saturday night.

The loss squashed an opportunity for the Buccaneers to move into sole possession of first place in the Sunshine State Conference after frontrunner Rollins also lost earlier Saturday. Barry, Rollins and Eckerd all have five losses in league play. The Bucs are a game behind in the win column.

It was Florida Southern's second straight overtime win.
