TAMPA, Fla. -- A high-scoring affair on Saturday ended after the Barry Buccaneer men's soccer team converted the golden goal in the 96th minute in overtime to capture a win on the road by a 4-3 margin over the Tampa Spartans in Sunshine State Conference action.

SUMMARY:
- 18' - The Bucs got on the board first after Luca De Biase scored his first goal this season on an assist from Francisco Greco.
- 45' - Tampa came out of the half strong with a goal from Julius Becker off of a layoff pass from Marcel Salokat.
- 46' - Barry answered right back with a goal of their own when Flavio Colasanti set James Kirkham up for his second goal of the season.
- 62' - Marcel Salokat stayed busy, knocking in a penalty kick to tie up the score at 2-2.
- 88' - Tampa took a late lead and it looked like the dagger after Juancho Fernandez converted for Tampa's third goal on an assist from Jan Walker.
- 89' - Despite giving up such a late goal, the Bucs kept pushing and Flavio Colasanti was able to drive in the over-time forcing goal in the final minute of the game as Stephen Kosmala gave the cross on the overlap.
- 96' - Fran Greco did what Fran Greco does best, converting the game-winning golden goal for Barry in overtime, after a great pass from Francisco Aguirre, to come in clutch once again this season for the Buccaneers.
NOTEWORTHY:
- This was Barry's fifth overtime game of the season which now makes them 3-1-1 in games that go to an extra period.
- Tonight's game-winner was Fran Greco's third overtime game-winner of the season.
- Barry's leading point producer, Flavio Colasanti, added another three points to his tally after scoring a goal and contributing an assist tonight. Colasanti has now extended his goal scoring streak to six games, one off of the seven that is the school record.
- The shot statistics were fairly even with Barry only taking three more shots(18-15) than Tampa and landing three more of those shots on target(11-8) then the Spartans did.
- Marco Sordi picked up the win, despite allowing the three goals. He had five saves.
- Jake Richards had seven saves, but took the loss on Greco's overtime winner.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs travel to Boca Raton, Fla., on Wednesday to face the Lynn Fighting Knights at 6:00 pm at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
