Box Score

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- From top to bottom, Barry University was dominant -- even with a few wrinkles in the lineup.

No. 3-ranked Barry swept No. 26 Flagler, 9-0, Sunday, spoiling the return of former Barry assistant coach Thomas Hipp, who now oversees the Saints' program.

Barry's Kevin Sielmann was paired with Dominik Haider for the first time in doubles this season, and the Bucs No. 2 duo rolled to an 8-1 win over Brant Switzler and Willy Hasselberg in the first match completed. Sielmann also played his first singles match in 35 days, beating David Espinoza, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.

Eighth-ranked Ahmed Triki and Fabian Groetsch defeated Bruno Padilha and Espinoza, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles. It was the Bucs pair's 15th win together this season. Renato Lombardi was mixed with Franco Echenique for the first time this year, and delivered an 8-4 win over Justen Louis and Hunter Hutcheson at No. 3 doubles.

At No. 3 singles, No. 29-ranked Nico Dreer beat Padilha, 6-0, 6-4, in the first individual match to finish. Echenique clinched the team's victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Louis at No. 5 singles. Fabian Pronnet beat Hasselberg, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 4 singles to extend Barry's lead to 6-Love. Triki was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Switzler at No. 1. After Sielmann's victory made it 8-0, Ajdin Tahirovic polished off the Buccaneers' ninth sweep and third in the last four matches, with his 6-2, 6-2 win over Hutcheson at No. 6.

Barry, which improved to 18-0, hosts No. 31 Palm Beach Atlantic 3 p.m. Friday in the final regular season match. The Bucs are seeking their second unbeaten regular season in the program's 24-year history.
