Basketball season is right around the corner and the season gets jump started on Wednesday, Oct. 15 with the Bucs' third annual Moonlight Madness. It will be the first opportunity to meet the 2003-04 Buccaneer basketball teams.
 
Again this year there will be games and prizes, food and fun for students and fans alike. Marriott will be serving food starting at 9:30 pm. There are contests for students ranging from a 3-point shootout to a free throw contest and a "Bucs Shot" (:30 second hot-spot shootout). The student winner in the 3-point shootout will get a chance to go up against the varsity players in a campus "championship."
 
The Miami Heat Xtreme team will be back this year with another scintillating performance of high-flying acrobatic dunks. Also performing are the Barry Dance Squad, the Jamaican Association and the Barry Cheerleaders.
 
Rounding out the evening's entertainment there will be a $100 "Dash for Cash," where a pair of lucky student could win up to $100, a $100 three-point shot contest and the famous Buccaneer Buzzer Beater for $10,000.
