Ana Pain played in six matches last week where she went 2-0 in #3 singles, 1-0 in #4 singles, and 3-0 in #1 doubles. Against No. 3 Auburn-Montgomery (NAIA), she played #4 singles where she picked up her first singles win (6-2, 6-0) over a ranked opponent this season when she defeated the 36th ranked player in NAIA. She also picked up #3 singles wins over New Mexico St. (6-2, 6-1) and Eckered (6-0, 6-0) in straight sets. In doubles, Pain teamed up with last week’s player of the week, Sonja Larsen, and the pair picked up wins over the No. 5 ranked doubles team from Auburn-Montgomery (8-1), New Mexico St. (8-0), and Eckerd (8-1). The three wins brings their doubles record to 14-0 on the year.
