Anatasiia Samokhvalova led the way defensively for the Buccaneers this week with 22 total blocks (2.44 blocks per set) in three SSC victories. The Moscow, Russia product tallied seven blocks and seven kills in a mid-week win against Lynn University. Then, on Friday against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, she recorded a season-high 12 blocks and seven kills in a home victory. Her 12 block performance against the Eagles is tied for the SSC single-game high this year. The sophomore finished up the week with three blocks and four kills in a win against Florida Tech. With the play of Samokhvalova, Barry improves to 17-2 overall and 9-2 in conference play.
