Gutierrez joined the Buccaneer men's coaching staff in the Fall of 2023 as a volunteer assistant. 

He enjoyed a long and achievement filled career for the Bucs tennis team from 2016-22. 

He was a three time national champion (2019,2021, 2022) and a two time ITA doubles All-American (2021,2022). 

In his career he went 19-1 in singles. with a win against one nationally-ranked opponent. He went 33-13 in doubles, with wins against six nationally-ranked opponents.
