Brett has been very impressive this fall and will begin the season as a starter. He is able to locate all his pitches and works both sides of the plate. We expect him to play a major role on the pitching staff this season.

JUNIOR (2010): Saw most of his action from the bullpen in his first season at Barry… Started two games and appeared in 18… Compiled a 2-2 record and 37 innings pitched… Registered his first career start as a Buccaneer on Feb. 25 against St. Thomas… Walked only five batters and posted a 5.4 strikeout to walk ratio…Posted his first career save against Tampa on April 17… Played in the Cal Ripkin Collegiate League for the Rockville Express… Posted a 1.80 ERA in 25 innings pitched… Surrendered only five earned runs and walked four batters.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE (TALLAHASSEE CC): Played for coach Mark McLeod ... Earned an 8-2 record on the mound ... Had a 4.62 ERA ... Earned second-team all-conference ... Academic All-American.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played for coach Robbie Zimmerman at Godby High ... Earned a 10-2 record as a senior ... Threw 84 innings with a 0.81 ERA ... Hit .320 with two home runs and four doubles ... Earned 12 stolen bases ... Also played golf and soccer for the Cougars.
