Charles Norman joined the volleyball staff in the spring of 2024 as a volunteer assistant and was promoted to full-time in the summer.

After helping lead the recruiting effort to staff the inaugural men's indoor team for 2025, he acted as the lead coach for the team as they went 10-14 on the season. The Bucs were one of the best blocking teams in the nation, finished ranked third with 2.568 blocks per set. Ryan Uridel led the team and ranked fifth individually in blocks per set.

He had served as the head boy's and girl's indoor volleyball coach at Ferguson Senior High in Miami since 2020. He also serves as the head coach, camp director and recruiting coordinator for Miami United Volleyball Club.

He led the Falcons to three straight GMAC and District girl's championships and led the boys to a runner-up spot in both the GMAC and the district in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

He led the Ferguson boys to a Top-10 ranking in the state in 2022-23 and received an Outstanding Leadership Award at the Miami-Dade All-Star Game as head coach in 2021-2022.

He compiled a 55-44 record with the boys team and 114-67 overall as a high school coach.

He is on track to receive his bachelor's degree from FIU in December 2024 in psychology, behavior analysis track.
