Barry University Athletics

A Barry University master's graduate, Avery Clark joined the volleyball program in the summer of 2024 as an assistant coach.

Originally coming to Miami Shores to get his master’s degree in Sports, Exercise and Performance Psychology, Clark earned his undergraduate degree at St. Ambrose University where he earned Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors. He played in every match during the 2021 season, advancing to the CCAC Tournament Championship.

Working with the Bucs’ women’s volleyball team while pursuing his masters as a Sports Psychology consultant helping with the mental and physical health of the student-athletes, he helped the coaching staff as a volunteer.

Clark moved to St. Louis to join the Saint Louis University volleyball staff as an assistant coach. While with the Division I Billikens, Clark helped the team to a 16-16 record and a trip to the Atlantic-10 Conference Semifinals.

Locally, Clark works with the Miami Wave Volleyball Club’s 13u and 16u teams.
