Baseball Loses Series Opener To Eagles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dropped their Sunshine State Conference baseball series opener to the Embry-Riddle Eaglas 12-4 at Sliwa Stadium on Friday afternoon.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Cole Turner (1-0), who entered with a lead from starter Aiden Marsiglio, who failed to go five innings, got the win.
  • Ensell took the loss for Barry, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks in 3.1 innings. 
  • Max McClusky led the Eagles with four hits, but it was Clymer with three hits, including a double and triple, and three RBI who paced the offense.
  • Hatfield, HUngler and Jalen Smith each had two hits for the BUcs.

ON THE HORIZON:

The series concludes with a doubleheader on Saturday.
