MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry Men's Basketball hosted their final regular season home game against Florida Southern on Wednesday evening. The Buccaneers fell to the Mocs on Cesar Odio Court in a tightly contested game.

- 1H - Deon Perry gave Barry their first lead of the game making his signature mid-range jumper from the free throw line. Jose Benitez followed with the next bucket picking up the steal and driving in for a lay-up for a 4-0 advantage. Barry held the lead for a majority of the half, Florida Southern took their first lead of the game at the 4:44 mark, erasing as much as an 11-point deficit. 2H – Marko Šarenac quickly tied the game back up with the first basket on the second half. Breno Silva knocked down a huge and-one drilling a deep-three and hitting the free throw so that the Bucs can regain the lead for the first time since the first half. It was coming down to the wire as neither team took more than a three-point lead with 6:29 remaining. A 7-2 run with three minutes left in the game would be the difference maker. Barry had a late opportunity but was unable to capitalize, Ryan Van Eyck hit a buzzer beater to end the game but would just cut the deficit from five to two in the final score. NOTEWORTHY:
- Perry had 19 points to lead the Bucs.
- Sarenac had his 16th double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
