MIAMI SHORES Fla.- Both the men's and women's swimming have made it onto the Scholar All-American team for the 2025 fall semester. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) announced the teams selected on Tuesday Jan. 20 with the Barry men's team coming in first overall for Division II schools. This award is the highest academic honored awarded by the CSAA and is presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps. Teams that are selected show excellence in the classroom while also competing at the highest levels of collegiate sport.Â
709 teams which represent 16,421 student-athletes earned this honor for their amazing academic performance this past semester. For a team to qualify they had to have a team Cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Fall 2025 semester. Barry University men's swimming had a cumulative GPA of 3.66 which ranked them first out of all the other DII men's teams selected. The Barry University women's swimming team had a cumulative GPA of 3.57.Â
