MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men's basketball team announced the addition of Breno Silva to the roster for the 2025-26 season.

"Breno arrives at Barry with experience at the NCAA Division I and junior college levels," head coach Justin Furr said. "He comes highly recommended and played for a good friend, Darrin Wallace, at Florida Southwestern. He has a track record as a shooter at Incarnate Word and we believe he can continue to develop into a complete player over his career. Help me welcome Breno and his family to The Shores."

A 6-8 forward, Silva spent last year with Florida Southwestern State, after starting his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Incarnate World. Silva made one start across the seven games played at UIW, although with limited minutes he showed some good scoring ability with 11.5 points per 36 minutes.

Silva saw an expanded role his sophomore year with Florida Southwestern State. Still a primary bench piece, Silva found himself starting in eight of the 29 games played. He also kicked up his production, averaging 12.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per 36 minutes on route to a 18-11 record and a FCSAA Championship Tournament appearance.

"I believe Barry is the right place for me to chase my goals and dreams," Silva said. "I look forward to experiencing winning at a high level and working towards my professional career."

The Buccaneers are coming off a 12-17 season and a Sunshine State Conference Tournament appearance.
