SUMMARY:
- First Half - The Bucs and Spartans played a very even first half. The Spartans had the possession by a narrow 51-49 margin and while both teams put up five shots, the Spartans had the only one on goal as Kendall Gouner launched one from 40 yards that was handled without problem by Marlen Hernandez in goal. The best opportunity of the period, though, was for the Bucs when Jaspyr Rocha put one off the top left corner of the frame in the sixth minute.
- Second Half - The Spartans again held the possession by a narrow margin in the second half and out-shot the Bucs 7-3. However, Barry put two on frame, to only one for the Spartans. The best chance for either team came when the Spartans sent the ball spinning into the box. It hopped over Hernandez's head, but Melina Walle-Olsen was there to clear it off the line.
NOTEWORTHY:
- The final shot count went 12-8 for the Spartans, although Barry put two on frame to only one for Tampa.

- For Hernandez, it was her sixth solo shutout and for the Bucs, their 10th in 13 games.
